We are pleased to announce that in 2019 we’ll be holding our annual European museum conference in London. The event which will once again take place at the Royal Geographic Society in South Kensington which hosted the event earlier this year.
The conference will take place on 3 – 5 June, with a discovery day to allow delegates to explore the city and meet each other followed by two days of conference at the Royal Geographic Society.
London proved to be an extremely popular location this year, and we’ve been inundated with requests from museums in the city who want to build on this success and help us to make the event bigger and better.
Tickets for the London Conference will once again start at £300, however these Super Early Bird tickets sold out in just 48 hours this year, so we recommend that those who wish to attend seek permission now and register to be informed when they go on sale.
Our 2018 conference brought together museum professionals from more than 40 countries with people travelling from Australia, New Zealand and South America to join us in London.
MuseumNext Founder Jim Richardson said, ‘We are excited to be returning to London with MuseumNext. This years conference was our most popular to date, with more than 550 delegates joining us from around the world.’
Save the Date: The MuseumNext Europe conference will take place in London, June 3 – 5 2019.
MuseumNext started in 2009 when Jim Richardson invited American museum Director Nina Simon to the UK to run a two day unconference for museum professionals in Newcastle upon Tyne. This first event attracted just seventy people, but ten years later MuseumNext has grown to attract 1,500 delegates annually.
