The Museum Collection is a museum designed to showcase a curated collection of NFTs in the metaverse and will focus on all aspects of digital culture and act as a gathering place for NFT enthusiasts.
The Museum Collection is curated by experienced metaverse and NFT professionals and designed for collectors who can view the collection in the museum in the metaverse and online.
NFTs have become a hot topic in the art world with museums and galleries dabbling in the new technology recently and they are becoming increasingly popular with collectors.
As Quharrison Terry, author of The NFT Handbook, says: “If you don’t understand it, you are right now where everybody else is. It is day zero in NFTs, which means everyone is learning.”
Recently König Galerie announced that Turkish new media artist Refik Anadol’s latest AI display Nature Dreams would also be available in a unique NFT option and the State Hermitage Museum launched a new exhibition today with NFT curating expert EchoX: The NFT Art Trilogy, is the debut NFT collection by contemporary artist Zhang Huan.
The Museum Collection has been designed collaboratively by an American designer and a Kazakh game developer, as a ‘cross-cultural nod to the international ethos of the NFT ecosystem’.
It has been developed by Republic Realm, which is also behind Metajuku, the first metaverse shopping mall with retail tenants and leases and Republic Realm Academy, the first online university set in the metaverse and accessible through tuition NFTs.
““By curating NFTs and displaying them in a dedicated space in the metaverse, The Museum Collection is both an NFT investment strategy and also a cultural hub that transcends geographic and socioeconomic borders,” said Janine Yorio, Republic Realm Managing Director.
“Traditional investment funds don’t fulfil that basic human desire to connect with others or to have fun the way that joining an NFT community does. The Museum Collection is designed to house, celebrate, and support the entire cultural zeitgeist of the NFT Generation with a focus on gaming, fashion, sports, music, video, collectibles and art NFTs”
Republic Realm says it prides itself on being able to identify which NFTs will hold value by using quantifiable metrics and relying on the acumen of tastemakers and influencers, with a focus on projects with growing communities.
The NFT Museum Collection is invitation-only and those interested can request and invite and see more details on the Republic Realm website.
