Ada Fredelius

Ada Fredelius is the online editor at Vrak – Museum of Wrecks, asmd the project coorodinator of the Warship Log and responsible for the communication between museum staff and the developers.

1000 warships, 100 wrecks, one database

The Baltic sea preserves thousands of historical shipwrecks, a unique and hidden part of history. When Swedish maritime museum Vrak took part in a research project to localize, identify and investigate the sunken ships of the Swedish navy we decided to bring these wrecks to the surface trough a free database: Örloggen (The Warship Log). This collaboration builds on open API:s, open data and knowledge from several institutions, all with the goal to salvage knowledge from the deep.
