Will Cary is Chief of Business Strategy and Analytics at the Barnes Foundation, where he oversees all earned revenue functions—admissions, box office, call center, special events, group sales, retail, and dining—as well as the marketing department and organizational analytics.
He has been at the Barnes since 2015 in a variety of visitor-facing and fundraising roles. Will has spent his career on the administrative side of art museums, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Portland Museum of Art (Maine).
He holds a B.A. in Art History and Economics from Williams College and is a graduate of the Getty Leadership Institute.

Adult education as an opportunity for mission and revenue growth
While the Barnes Foundation has been teaching adult education for nearly a century, it took a pandemic to compel a transition into online learning. What began as an experiment out of necessity has turned into a significant new revenue stream with many avenues for growth in terms of audiences, mission reach, and donor and customer base. As a case study in resource allocation, cross-departmental collaboration, and mission-driven success, this session will offer practical guidance around growing service and revenue in a sustainable and manageable way.
