Franco Lanfur

Franco Lanfur is a developer specializing in Virtual and Augmented Reality (XR). With a deep passion for technology and history, he is also the founder of VARS, a studio dedicated to XR innovations.

His journey began during his architecture studies, where he discovered XR’s potential for visualization and other applications. His passion led him to work on various XR projects, culminating in the creation of VARS.

Lanfur believes AR will become as essential as mobile phones or the internet, revolutionizing daily life. Through VARS, he helps others implement XR and benefit from its potential.

A Shared Secret – The Clock Museum’s AR Escape Game

Time measurement is a central human activity. We are so used to this invisible task that we rarely think about it or the tools we use to carry it out. The Vienna Clock Museum houses one of the biggest clock collections in Europe. In order to explore the hidden world beyond the beautiful cases and make it tangible, we created an interactive escape game using augmented reality to interact with objects that are normally static, behind glass or hidden in a clock case.
