Museums, Games & Play Summit

23 - 24 October 2023

Virtual Conference

Trusted by leading museums

Museums are typically thought of as destinations to house and display art, artefacts and collections of cultural interest. But in an age of shortened attention spans, it’s becoming more obvious that museums can’t simply be something nice to look at — they must actively engage their visitors.

To do this, many institutions are turning to play, in its many forms, to both engage and educate those who walk through their doors.

The Museums, Games & Play Summit brings together museum professionals from around the globe to share best practice in creating engaging playful experiences both in the museum and online.

A personal note

Fourteen years ago, we started MuseumNext to shine a spotlight on the most groundbreaking and imaginative work happening in museums.

Today we’re able to reach a global community of museum thinkers (more than 20,000 last year) with engaging and accessible virtual events.

I’m dedicated to ensuring that everyone attending our events has a great experience and that the time you spend watching our events will be valuable to you.

And I’m excited to welcome you to the Museums, Games & Play Summit in October. I know you’ll find it an inspiring few days.

Absolutely top-notch conference. All the talks I attended were informative and valuable, giving me not only aspirational motivation but also a lot of practical, applicable advice and insights. I can't wait for next year!
