Charleen Leo has organised several exhibitions including Human +: The Future of Our Species (2017), Wonderland (2019), and curated Wind Walkers: Theo Jansen’s Strandbeest (2018).
Over the last six years, Charleen has worked closely with international interdisciplinary art collective, teamLab on the concept and annual updates of ArtScience Museum’s permanent exhibition, Future World: Where Art Meets Science and has developed an in-depth knowledge on the collective’s working practices and objectives.
With a science degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Charleen has developed a keen interest in commissioning contemporary art particularly at the intersection of science and technology.
She leverages her early engagement in museum public programmes to explore how new and immersive artworks can offer somatic and heuristic experiences most museum viewers now expect.

A Year of Mental Well-Being
In 2022, ArtScience Museum will be launching the season of mental health and wellbeing to generate awareness and conversations on topics relating to mental health. The Exhibitions and Education teams at ArtScience Museum will share how ArtScience Museum is raising awareness and initiating conversations on mental health and wellbeing, via a series of carefully curated exhibitions and programmes. By drawing on scientific knowledge and the emotional impact brought about by artworks and exhibited content, this upcoming season of mental health and wellbeing at ArtScience Museum aims to create a climate of healing for its visitors.
