Amy Levin has written and edited extensively on museums, diversity, and inclusion.
Her books include:
– Defining Memory: Local Museums and the Construction of History in America’s Changing Communities
– Gender, Sexuality, and Museums: A Routledge Reader
– Global Mobilities: Refugees, Exiles, and Immigrants in Museums and Archives
– Museums, Sexuality, and Gender Activism
In addition to coordinating the Museum Studies Program at Northern Illinois University, Levin served as Director of Women’s Studies and Chair of English.
She has taught in Egypt, Myanmar and the Netherlands.
