About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Tate Commerce’s busy and dynamic Merchandise team and to lead a successful buying and product development department, reporting to the Licensing and Merchandise Director. We work closely with artists, curators, designers and creatives of all sorts to develop merchandise that is sold across Tate’s four galleries and online shop, and reflects the Tate’s collection and varied exhibitions that make up our program.
Our Ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will have excellent experience in a product development role, demonstrate first class organisational and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage complex schedules with multiple deadlines, and communicate well and work collaboratively with the Merchandise, Retail and wider Tate teams. You will also manage two direct reports. The role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced buyer/product developer looking for their next career step, or an existing buying/product development manager looking to move into the Museum and Gallery sector.
