Fresh ideas from museums around the globe in your inbox each week
We are looking for a confident and effective coordinator who will work with our busy department of curators. The Curatorial team is responsible for caring for and adding to the museum’s collection, and displaying and interpreting it for the public. At the moment, the team is developing major exhibitions, a large-scale contemporary collecting project called Curating London, and is starting to plan displays for the museum’s new home in West Smithfield.
The Curatorial Operations Coordinator will be responsible for aiding the Head of Curatorial in delivering these three strands of work. You will be responsible for reporting, and will support the management of the department’s budget. You will also help to manage the department’s work resource by maintaining and updating the team’s work logs. You will act as the first point of contact for the department both internally and for enquiries from the public. This is an exciting moment in the Museum of London’s history, and we are looking for someone with a passion for museums and London to work with us.
