We’re seeking an experienced freelance marketer, with a track record of attracting a broad and diverse audience to factual exhibitions, to develop and lead an innovative marketing campaign in support of our 2022 exhibition (staged by our Barbican International Enterprises arm) and to deliver our ambitious target of 80,000 visitors over the show’s run.
For the project, you will be working alongside the Barbican’s inhouse Gallery marketing team, and with assistant support in implementing campaign activity. You’ll have a confident grasp of the full marketing mix from out of home to social media and a track record of delivering high profile and effective audience-focused campaigns.
You’ll have great stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal) and be happy to work with us with both commitment and flexibility. And ideally you’ll have a good knowledge of climate change issues and experience of presenting scientific ideas in an accessible and engaging way for a range of audiences. A familiarity with the London cultural scene is an advantage.
We are looking for someone to work with us between November this year until August 2022. We see this as a part-time role, with your time commitment flexible across this period, depending on the peaks of the campaign. You are welcome to work remotely although occasional onsite attendance may be required.
Applications by midday 25 October 2021
