Your new organisation 

York Museums Trust is an independent charitable organisation created to manage York Art Gallery, York Castle Museum, Yorkshire Museum & Gardens, and York St Mary’s.  Our vision is to work together with audiences and communities to inspire, to share and to care for cultural heritage.   

Your new role 

These are exciting times to join the Trust on the back of our multi award winning redevelopment of York Art Gallery and with ambitious plans for the future.  

This new post will assume responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of all our existing permanent and display electrical infrastructure, and the installation of any new electrical equipment/infrastructure required across our sites.   

What you’ll need to succeed 

The successful candidate will be qualified to 17th or 18th Edition Test and Inspection.  They must also be able to work at heights on ladders and scaffolding, and in confined spaces.  Additionally, a full driving licence is a requirement of the post, together with a good understanding of relevant legislation.
