The Social Media Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management of the V&A Masterbrand channels (TikTok, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest) and V&A East social channels.
At V&A East, they will work closely with colleagues in curatorial and community outreach to produce content that engages 16-24s globally and builds audiences for V&A East Storehouse (opening 2024) and V&A East Museum (opening 2025) in Stratford. On Masterbrand channels they will look for interesting, engaging ways to bring V&A collections to life across multiple channels, formats, and audiences.
This role requires strategic and creative thinking, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload, to develop inspiring content that grows social media audiences and drives engagement with the V&A.
Reporting into the Content Marketing and Social Media Manager, as part of the 3-strong social team in the central V&A marketing department, the person in this role will fuel the V&A’s Masterbrand channels and also have a specific focus on shaping and engaging new social communities for V&A East.
