Alana Kushnir

Alana Kushnir is a Melbourne-based art lawyer, advisor, and curator with a deep commitment to the intersection of art, law, and technology. She is the Founder and Director of Guest Work Agency and the Principal Investigator of the Serpentine’s Legal Lab, which explores legal challenges in the arts technologies field.

Alana serves on the board of the Jewish Museum of Australia, is an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Art, and actively contributes to the International Bar Association’s Art, Cultural Institutions, and Heritage Law Committee. Recognised for her innovative contributions, Alana has been a finalist for Innovator of the Year at the Australian Law Awards 2024 and Sole Practitioner of the Year at the Women in Law Awards 2022.

She has also been named a One to Watch by Best Lawyers in Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law for 2023 and 2024. Alana’s multifaceted career spans curatorial projects in renowned institutions like the ICA, London, and the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, Sydney, alongside significant roles in academia, legal practice, and cultural programming.
