Since 2013, the Buffalo Bill Center of the West’s Education Department has connected more than 275,000 students to the museum through virtual programming. Based in rural Wyoming, we face long winters and limited in-person access. Virtual Field Trips allow us to reach classrooms year-round, across six continents. What began as an experiment became a core outreach program, scaling rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic and continuing to grow today.
