Amy Stocker

Amy Stocker is Access and Inclusion Manager for Royal Collection Trust where she works to make the Official Residences of The King as accessible as possible to people with disabilities and those who don’t find it easy to visit.

Twenty years with Royal Collection have seen Amy gain experience in a range of learning audiences, from families, to adult learners as well as the more general visitor experience across palaces, castles and art galleries.

To ensure that everyone should be able to engage with art and history Amy has created a network of people with lived experience of disability and inclusion, and is particularly interested in accessible interpretation, whether through visual, audio or sensory experiences.

Pop Up Watercolours: Art, history & science in Care Homes

A multi-partnership project,’ Pop Up Watercolours’ was funded by UKRI / The Museum of Reading and ran in collaboration with Royal Collections Trust: Its aim was to raise awareness of climate change in a manner which is not alarming or confrontational with hard to reach communities. An exhibition of artworks was developed through an artist residency, merging of historical and contemporary art to create a travelling Pop Up Art exhibition. The exhibition was on display at Care Homes along the river Thames, engaging residents and their families with specific art and science from their area.
