Anne Hauguel

Senior Mediation & Interpretation Officer
Louvre Abu Dhabi

Graduated in Fine Arts & Museography with a specialisation in interpretation, and after curating a contemporary art exhibition for the theatre TANDEM Scène Nationale, I joined Agence France-Muséums in 2014 to be part of the exciting project of developing Louvre Abu Dhabi’s interpretation plan.

I developed and produced various interpretation tools for the museum permanent galleries, from multimedia development to didactics and tactile stations. Part of Louvre Abu Dhabi’s team since 2018 as Senior Mediation & Interpretation Officer, I develop interpretation spaces and projects for various audiences.

I am the Project Manager of the Children’s Museum and the core of my mission is to curate and produce a series of engaging exhibitions for children aged 4 to 10 years old. Always trying to make the museum a fun and approachable place for visitors!

How to successfully turn an Exhibition into an Art Adventure Game?

In Louvre Abu Dhabi Children’s Museum, we designed our last exhibition “Emotions!” as an Art Adventure Game, to generate active engagement and create an optimal museum experience for the whole family. In this presentation, we will tell you how we are using gamification and play to generate active engagement and make the museum a fun place to be. With concrete examples, we will demonstrate how smart storytelling and game design principles can guide children in their discovery of original artworks and help keep the audience connected with the content.
