Originally from New York City, Antoinette (Annie) Roberts recently completed an M.Phil at Cambridge in the History of Art. Her research focuses on Black British and African American women artists such as Adrian Piper, Maud Sulter, Carrie Mae Weems, and Ingrid Pollard.
When she’s not in the library, Annie loves working at museums and has conducted research on Winslow Homer for The Met’s American Wing, women artists for the Yale University Art Gallery and The Women’s Art Collection, and the birth of the American magazine for The Jewish Museum (NYC).
