Bryony Shepherd is an interpretation specialist with 20 years’ experience creating interpretation for a wide variety of cultural and heritage institutions.
She joined the V&A in 2015 as Head of Interpretation. In this role Bryony is responsible for the interpretation across the museum’s galleries, exhibitions and displays, ensuring that the collection is presented in innovative ways which are relevant, inspiring and accessible to meet the needs of the V&A’s diverse audiences.
Bryony began her career at Studioarc Design Consultants and before joining the V&A, developed interpretation at Royal Museums Greenwich and the British Museum.
She has an MA in Museum and Art Gallery Studies from the University of Manchester and an undergraduate degree in History of Art from the University of Glasgow.
