Chelsea Garth has been Curator at the Fairfield Museum since the summer of 2021, where she organizes and implements engaging, creative, and thought-provoking exhibitions, including a landmark immersive exhibit on children’s book illustrator and author Richard Scarry.
She led the first reinterpretation of Fairfield’s permanent history exhibit in a decade, incorporating new research and stories to promote diversity and inclusion. Her previous work as Assistant Curator at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury led to an award-winning reinstallation of their main history exhibit.
She earned her BA from the University of Connecticut in Art History and her MA from Fairfield University in American Studies in 2020.
