How do you take millions of museum specimens and not only make them accessible to the public but make that process fun? By allowing people to see what a nearby museum has found in their area, personal connections can be made with individual specimens and museum collections at large. For NHMLAC’s most recent exhibit, LA Underwater, a map based digital interactive allows visitors to make discoveries about the fossils in their own backyards.
