Danielle Heavy Head

Danielle Heavy Head is a member of Kainai, a Blackfoot tribe situated in between the Old Man River; the Belly River; & the Saint Mary’s River.

Danielle started doing group repatriations for the Blackfoot and other Indigenous groups from 1995 to 2006. She was one of the creators of the Blackfoot Digital Library, which she currently cares for at the University of Lethbridge.

She is a Beaver Person and cares for a Beaver Bundle (Iiyaohkimiiksi) and as such is a Blackfoot Knowledge Keeper.
