David Dewhurst

David Dewhurst is a Digital Experience Manager at The Science Museum, London. He has worked at the museum for over 8 years managing AV and digital exhibits in galleries and exhibitions.

He has led on recent major touring exhibitions including Robots and The Sun.

He has a vast background in audio technology and interactive media, and has worked in user experience and mobile phone software design for Nokia.

Hands Free Hands On

The Science Museum in London has a world wide reputation for producing compelling interactive hands on exhibits. Covid has created challenges for these exhibits but has also spurred new types of hands free interactions. In this talk, David Dewhurst will present a new hands free exhibit he developed as well as look at changes taken to existing digital exhibits, including the challenges of using audio without headphones.
