Donna is a digital collections and metadata expert, providing stakeholders with a contemporary information services environment to create, preserve, manage, access and share digital assets.
She brings extensive knowledge gained from studies and experience in IT, business operations, management, education, library and data driven roles. Donna’s information management skills are currently focused on the development of the Queensland Museum digital asset management system (DAMS).
In this role Donna is liaising with stakeholders to improve the quality, quantity and sustainability of digital assets which include showcasing the Museum’s collective works as, 2D images, 3D models, audio and video.
Using DAMS to Reach Different Digital Audiences
Museums have difference audiences for their digital assets. Providing different image portals, tailored to each group by using the DAMS allows better management of digital assets.
