Effie Coe

Effie Coe is Curator, Digital Content at Tate (Tate Modern and Tate Britain), working within the Schools and Teachers team, Learning. She develops creative digital learning programmes that centres the lived experience, knowledge and agency of young people, and works with artists, teachers and curators to support learning in and beyond the classroom.

Effie has over 20 years’ experience designing inclusive and accessible programmes for young people in galleries and schools. She was the Bloomberg Tech Fellow for Tate’s recent digital infrastructure project (Tate Schools) and is a member of the Learning and Public Advisory Board at Pallant House Gallery.

Developed between 2023–25 through a major digital infrastructure project and collaboration between Learning and Digital Departments, the platform rethinks how existing digital collections can be transformed into meaningful learning resources.

With a SEND First approach and ongoing teacher collaboration, Tate Schools champions innovative, inclusive digital learning with art.
