Connect with yourself, connect with art, connect with others. Programs fostering connections, belongingness, and compassion—capacities at the center of the human experience—are vital for mental health and well-being. For nearly twenty years, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) has presented a range of programs that now fall under an Art + Wellness umbrella. Beginning with small, experimental programming, this robust schedule of offerings invites contemplative and creative experiences for participants while broadening the institution’s impact and reach. This session shares ways to bring connectedness into our work as museum professionals to further cultivate and sustain creativity, purpose, and joy.
