Frauke Stengel studied archaeology, cultural studies and European ethnology at the Free University of Berlin and literature and cultural theory at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. At the Goethe Institute Schwäbisch Hall, she was responsible for the area of culture, especially the teaching of German culture to international language students. Since 2019, she has been working in the communications department in the marketing division at the Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen. In 2021, she founded the Sustainability Working Group there and completed further training as a transformation manager for sustainable culture at the Action Network Sustainability for Culture and Media in Berlin.
