Gary Jamieson is a qualified Primary School Teacher and the current School’s Development Officer at V&A Dundee, this is a seconded post provided by Dundee City Council.

The SDO works within the wider learning team and develops learning experiences through the schools program.

Streets Ahead – A STEM focussed Design Challenge for Schools

Streets Ahead is a collaborative National Design Challenge aimed at S1/S2 pupils. Sponsored by NCR Atleos, it tasks pupils to research and redesign their local high streets through the lens of sustainability, accessibility or inclusivity. Streets Ahead was participated in by 64 schools across 22 local authorities in Scotland and has been identified as a good practice model for Interdisciplinary Learning through Education Scotland. Funding has been secured to develop the initiative further with an extended offer to Primary Schools and the addition of SCQF Qualifications to further enhance its impact.
