His projects encompass XR, multi-channel sound and location-aware tech. He established and chairs the AI Group at RMG.

What does sailing on a tea clipper 150 years ago sound like? Could ASMR and ambient music entice a new audience to the iconic Cutty Sark? Royal Museums Greenwich and Smartify partnered to create ‘Cutty Sark Soundscape’, an immersive, location-aware sound experience. As you explore the ship, sounds like wind, waves, creaking wood are triggered, aiming to transport visitors back to the golden age of sail. Has using old (Bluetooth) tech in a new way paid off? Was it all smooth sailing?
