Ingunn Fjola Ingthorsdottir is a prominent artist, experienced educator and social activist. She has a bachelors degree in both Fine Art and Art Theory as well as a masters degree in Fine Art. She is the founder and manager of Geta Aid Organization and has developed many successful programs for refugees in Iceland through the organization.

Art has a unique power to transcend language and cultural barriers, allowing children to share their stories, experiences, and emotions in a supportive environment. The classes are facilitated by artists and teachers speaking both Icelandic and the children’s native language to build up their sense of belonging while also supporting the learning of a new language.
