Jacqueline Feldmann

Exhibition Production and Public Program Coordinator
Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana

Jacqueline Feldmann (1991) works in exhibition production and public program coordination at Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana where she arrived in 2017 after a double MA in Art History and Management and several internships in museums as well as cultural and audiovisual institutions in Vienna, Paris and Rome.

Her personal engagement with associations active in Venice in the social field (especially regarding the situation of refugees and asylum seekers) triggered a desire to focus on social inclusion events and activities in her work at the museum which was rendered possible mostly through an ongoing collaboration with the Education Office.

Altri Sguardi

Altri Sguardi (Other Gazes) opens up the museum to unusual interpreters of the exhibitions: refugees, asylum seekers, people with a migratory background.

The perspective is swapped: the participants observe, interpret and mediate the artworks, bringing their personal insight into the exhibition.

Therefore, through these different perspectives the visitors get involved in unexpected conversations and the museum turns into a space of openness and enriching difference: each and every participant offers his or her point of view so that established eurocentric and occidental narration get questioned by the difference of every experience.
