Jenny Waldman is Director of Art Fund, the UK’s national fundraising charity for art and museums. Supported by its 130,000 National Art Pass and Student Art Pass members, as well as through philanthropy, Art Fund helps the UK’s museums and galleries build their collections and ensure that as many people as possible can access and enjoy them. Led by Art Fund with 500 UK museums, The Wild Escape is an opportunity for the next generation to join in the conversation about biodiversity. Taking place from January to July 2023, and building towards a nationwide moment on Earth Day 2023,The Wild Escape invites primary school children (ages 7-11) to find a favourite animal in their local museum and create an artwork imagining its journey to a natural habitat. Their pictures will be brought together in an epic collective digital artwork unveiled on Earth Day.
