Jessica Remedios is the Professional Practice Lead for Applied Behaviour Analysis at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and has worked in the healthcare sector for 16 years.
She works with CHEO’s Neurodevelopmental Health department, an interdisciplinary team that provides neurodiverse children and youth with personalised care.
As part of her role, Jessica develops the training curriculum for 180 staff and is particularly interested in fostering collaboration and constructive exchange in a large interdisciplinary team.

The art museum is a uniquely effective site for team building and strengthening clinical soft skills in healthcare professionals which, in turn, positively impacts patient care. In this session, an art educator and a healthcare professional will describe how we collaborated to guide a large newly formed interdisciplinary team through Visual Thinking Strategy (VTS) sessions. We’ll reflect on the results that we measured and share the unanticipated upshots of our partnership.
