Often overlooked and underestimated, insects play a vital role in ecosystems and human societies. To help protect this fragile biodiversity, the Montréal Insectarium strives to inspire a deeper appreciation of insects among its visitors.
In line with this mission, the Entomological Information Service supports the public in developing a (more) positive relationship towards insects in everyday life. Requests come not only from across Canada but also internationally.
Our goal is to provide simple, practical tools to live harmoniously with the small critters we share our lives with—from buzzing mosquitoes to caterpillars nibbling on tomato plants, and yes, even the spiders on the ceiling! We step beyond the museum walls to keep our mission alive, helping you see the small things that make a big difference.
