J. Paul Getty Museum

Keishia Gu is a 25-year education professional and the Head of Education for the J. Paul Getty Museum. In her role, she oversees all activities related to the museum’s educational and outreach programming for K-12 student and teacher audiences, adult learners and art enthusiasts at the Getty Center and Getty Villa.

Over the course of her career, Keishia has devoted her time and energy to helping students prepare for the next level of educational attainment as a classroom teacher, academic dean, college counselor, and director of admissions.

She’s worked for notable universities, schools, and nonprofits including Geffen Academy at UCLA, Georgetown University, KIPP SoCal Public Schools, Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences, and the Independent School Alliance for Minority Affairs – where she served as the Executive Director. Keishia earned an M.Ed. with honors in Education and Social Policy from Harvard University and a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Georgetown University.
