Laura Schuppli

Laura Schuppli works as Digital Curator at the Stadtmuseum Aarau. At the museum she is responsible for digital mediation, interactive media installations and exhibitions about new technologies.

In 2021 she also founded the agency Spielkultur (www.spielkultur.ch/en), which is specialized in museum games. The agency is the spin-off of the Swiss cooperation project games@museums (2017-2019).

Since she has been working in the museum sector for 10 years, she knows the general needs of cultural institutions and the importance of participation and playful mediation in museums.

AI HERO: An Artifical Intelligence guides through an exhibition about heroes

From Odysseus to Joan of Arc to Superman, from the world-famous football star to the to a nurse in the coronavirus intensive care unit: heroes and idols are omnipresent. That’s why the Stadtmuseum Aarau has dedicated the ongoing exhibition to the topic of “heroes”. An important part of this exhibition is the digital visitor tour: using an Artificial Intelligence especially trained for the exhibition, AI HERO takes visitors on a special kind of a hero’s journey.
