Laura Summers

Laura has over two decades of experience in the museum and heritage sector, embarking on her journey as a Museum Assistant at Nottingham City Museums and Galleries and later joining the Learning and Engagement team within the same organisation.

Following a brief stint at a grassroots charity, Laura joined the National Lottery Heritage Fund and later the National Heritage Memorial Fund. Subsequently, she ventured into cultural consultancy, where she supported museums and galleries with funding applications, governance, activity, and business planning. Laura’s journey continued at Arts Council England, where she led the delivery of the Museum Estates Development Fund in the Midlands.

Laura is currently a Senior Programme Manager at Art Fund and plays a key part in the planning and operational delivery of the Fund’s annual grant-making programme. This involves working across the organisation to support the delivery of the current programme and consulting and collaborating with the wider sector to develop and deliver new activities. Laura’s role also involves delivering Art Fund’s impact and evaluation strategy and framework across its charitable programme.
