Liene Conard

Maria Vasquez and Liene Conard are both working for the public & education team of the Rubenshuis. Maria worked before in a theatre where she took charge of communications and target group operations. Liene worked 11 years for the MAS museum in Antwerp where she was responsible for everything targeted on youth. Now they are since 2024 a tandem. Liene is head of the team and Maria is taking care of the guides, families and the offers for schools. Together they are working on participatory projects where schools are involved.

Taking the helm for students between 12 and 18 where process takes precedence over outcome. Where a museum feels like a second home. Where pupils get a say and we align the collection with the curricula. A school as a long-term artist in residence, with no end date.
