CARES in Action: A Strategic Framework for Inclusive Museum Engagement

As museums strive for greater inclusivity, a strategic and sustainable approach is essential. This presentation introduces the Community & Access team at National Gallery Singapore and its CARES framework—Capability Building, Advocacy, Research, Engagement & Representation, and Sustainability—which guides efforts to make art equitable and accessible. Through case studies, we demonstrate how this framework translates into practice, aligning inclusion with organisational goals while fostering meaningful engagement with underserved communities. Join us for actionable insights on creating inclusive, transformative museum experiences that benefit both visitors and institutions.
