Memoona Javed is an Arts and Engagement Educator at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, with an academic background in architecture, design, and art history.

Experienced in developing and delivering creative education programmes and workshops, she focuses on artistic expression among children and youth .

Her passion lies in enriching art experiences through innovative storytelling and creative play, aiming to inspire young minds through the museum’s collection.

Play at the Heart of Space Camp

Discover how Louvre Abu Dhabi placed play at the heart of Space Camp and used role-play strategies to create interactive experiences to engage young people with STEAM.

During the summer, over 80 Young Astronauts, aged 8-12, took part in the ultimate Space Camp connected to the Children Museum’s latest adventure, Picturing the Cosmos! Space Camp challenged the Young Astronauts to develop teamwork, leadership, and decision-making skills through informal engagement with art, science, and technology.

Life skills are essential to sustain living in space for long periods of time, and during Space Camp, the Young Astronauts developed communication strategies, focus, and discipline through play, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity.
