Myles Symon

Myles Symon manages the Schools and Youth Programmes at London’s Dulwich Picture Gallery, working to inspire children and young people through creative programmes to engage with the gallery’s historic collection.

Raised in Canada with a background in teaching and in youth work, his experience teaching in schools and working with young people spans from South London to rural Alberta; his passion is in collaboration, creating opportunity to champion the work of young people and using creativity to support a positive wellbeing.

Mark Makers

Mark Makers is a creative workshop for children with mindfulness and wellbeing at its heart, offered as part of Dulwich Picture Gallery’s Schools Programme to Year 6 children. Created in response to increasing levels of anxiety reported in school aged children and delivered by a team of artists who draw on their own experiences of using creativity to support their wellbeing, these workshops foster resilience and expression, and encourage young people to leave their own mark as they begin the transition between primary and secondary school.
