Oliver Trace

Oliver Trace is the Founding Director of Sentio Space, an audiovisual studio that specialises in helping public and cultural organisations engage a broader, more diverse audience. He has designed and developed new media content, including animations, interactives, and projections, for The National Gallery, Tate Modern, The Science and Industry Museum and Cambridge University.

Science Capital informed STEM Animations for the Power Hall

The Power Hall, reopening in 2025, will be a must-see Manchester experience – a living gallery showcasing a unique collection of historic working engines, powered by 21st century, carbon-neutral infrastructure. The new gallery narrative tells the story of Manchester as an epicentre of industry and explores our complex relationship with engines. The integrated interpretation approach features six animations designed to engage a broad audience with the key STEM principles behind the Manchester-made engines on display. Topics include how the machines work, how they connect to the climate crisis and one explores the pioneering on gallery decarbonisation system.
