Ross is Professor of Museum Technology at the University of Leicester and, since last autumn, Director of the university’s new Institute for Digital Culture.
He leads the international research consortium ‘One by One’ (building digitally confident museums) and serves as a member of AHRC’s ‘Towards a National Collection’ Steering Committee.
He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a board member of Attenborough Arts and a trustee of the Jodi Mattes Trust for accessible digital culture.
Along with Dr Vince Dziekan (Monash) Ross is founding co-editor of the Routledge book series ‘Critical Perspectives on Museums and Digital Technology’.
In 2018 he was listed in the Education Foundation’s ‘EdTech50’ – the fifty most influential people in the UK education and technology sectors.
