AI in the new Rijksmuseum Collection Online

Where do you begin when you aim to implement AI in your work processes, tooling and user experience, specially for an online collection? Over the course of one year, the Rijksmuseum partnered with a team of craftspeople to approach the opportunities of Large Language Models. In this talk, we detail the process of dreaming big and turning that into reality. We will explore how we gave our brand-new Collection Online interface a boost by implementing AI for novel and inspiring use cases.
