Director and President, Philbrook Museum of Art
Scott Stulen is the Director and President of Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, an artist, writer, curator, programmer and dj. Previously he was the first Curator of Audience Experiences and Performance at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Director of the McKnight Artist Fellowship for Photographers, Project Director of mnartists.org at the Walker Art Center and Associate Curator at the Rochester Art Center (MN).
He has created and curated innovative exhibitions and programming including the ARTx program at the IMA, first Internet Cat Video Festival (#catvidfest), Community Supported Art (CSA), Artist Designed Mini Golf, and the Walker Art Center’s Open Field initiative. He is currently leading the Philbrook Museum of Art, creating a model for the museum of the future through immersive and accessible experiences, relevant community engagement and radical openness.
