Sigrid Vinther Hansen

Sigrid Vinther Hansen is a Play Designer and Teaching Assistant Professor in the Lab for Play Design at Kolding School of Design. Her main areas of exploration includes playful experience design, co-creation, design process facilitation and communication design with a focus on hands-on creative and playful methods. Recent projects include the Interreg funded Hope & Despair and Moving Museums Through Play with the National Museum of Denmark. Sigrid holds a Master’s degree in Play and Communication Design from Kolding School of Design.

Collage as Reflection

School visits to WWII sites can be intense and not all pupils process difficult stories well through talk or writing. This session shares preliminary findings and a transferable method from the project Hope & Despair. We show how collage-making and journals function as low-threshold, inclusive reflection tools: pupils translate atmosphere, emotion, and ethical unease into knowledge and reflections without forcing quick closure. The collage table becomes a “negotiation space” where pupils can ask each other “why this image?”, while journals provide a private track for what is hard to voice.
