Tooba Aziz

Tooba Aziz holds a background in computer science. Since early 2024, she has been working with Qatar Museums as an Analytics and Data Visualisation Specialist.

In her role, she focuses on producing data visualizations to support data-driven insights and decisions, and she is also leading rapid prototyping projects that leverage digital tools and technology to drive innovation within the museums.

Leveraging AI to manage large collections of photographs

In early 2024, Qatar Museums’ Digital Transformation team collaborated with the upcoming Qatar Auto Museum, which aims to unite Qatar’s car community and inspire future innovators, designers, and engineers through a shared passion for cars. The collaboration explored how AI could help adding tags and keywords to an archival collection of 60,000 photographs, streamlining workflows to reduce time and effort to make the assets included in this collection searchable, allowing teams to focus on research and exhibitions. The tools and workflows we created during this project could benefit several other collections at Qatar Museums.
