Verity Babbs is a writer, presenter, and host of ‘Art Laughs’ art-themed comedy events. She graduated with a History of Art degree from Wadham College, University of Oxford in 2019 and has worked since to make conversations about art more accessible.
Verity Babbs will be speaking at the MuseumNext Digital Summit :
Receiving an ADHD diagnosis at 24 blew Babbs’ world open: traits she had been taught were personal failings were, in fact symptoms, ‘annoying’ requests were perfectly reasonable access requirements, and areas of inaccessibility in the art world in which she worked became even clearer.
In this presentation, Verity Babbs will be discussing why it is vital that museums create quality digital content to help neurodivergent and disabled audiences access art, how this can be implemented, and where these institutions can turn for guidance.
