Wytze Koppelman

Wytze Koppelman works as a curator at the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision, one of the world’s largest audiovisual archives. Within his role, he oversees the part of the collection which pertains to culture and entertainment. This includes, among other things, drama and documentary productions, cultural programming, music and video games. His work bridges and connects the institute’s archival collection to its presentation in a museum context.

Museums everywhere are under pressure to do more than display collections — they’re being asked to tackle immense societal challenges while also finding fresh ways to connect with their communities. What if the answer could be playful, creative and energising?
Discover EPIC-WE, a Horizon Europe project where young people co-design games that explore cultural values through heritage. We’ll show how cultural game jams can turn museums into cross-sectoral hubs where collections spark reflection, innovation and new forms of participation. Participants will also receive access to our Cultural Game Jam Kit with templates and facilitation guidelines to run their own cross-sectoral jams.
