MuseumNext Conference Heads To Sydney

We’re delighted to announce that MuseumNext will be returning to Australia on 1 – 2 April 2019 for a two-day conference at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour.

This will be the third time that MuseumNext has been held in Australia and we expect to attract museum professionals from around the globe to Sydney for what promises to be an exciting few days.

The Playful Museum?
Every MuseumNext conference has a theme and this year we’ll be discussing The Playful Museum. What role does play have in the modern museum, how do you engage audiences with play and how can technology create new playful experience?

MuseumNext Sydney will welcome speakers from around the world, with keynote presentations from museum directors Michael John Gorman and Scott Stulen.

Why Sydney?
We’ve been invited to hold the conference in Sydney by our friends at the Australian National Maritime Museum. Frequent speakers and attendees at MuseumNext conferences, the team from ANMM are ready to welcome our international community to this amazing city.

MuseumNext Founder Jim Richardson said ‘Sydney is one of the most beautiful, exciting cities in the world and we’re grateful to ANMM for making it possible.’
